It has now been about a month since the start of the new school year, and our K1 students have been working hard to become familiar with their new classroom routines, rules, and daily schedule. Over these past weeks, we have already seen so much growth in their confidence and independence.
新年度が始まって約1か月が経ち、K1クラスの子どもたちは新しいルールや生活の流れ、クラスでの過ごし方に少しずつ慣れてきました。この数週間だけでも、子どもたちの自信や自立心の成長をたくさん感じています。
Many of our K1 students previously attended our Pre class, so they began the year with some familiarity and comfort in the school environment. At the same time, we also welcomed children who were completely new to Beyondia Ikebukuro. Although the beginning of the year can feel overwhelming for some children, we are proud to see how much everyone has settled into their new routines.
K1の子どもたちの中には、Preクラスから進級してきた子も多く、園生活に親しみを感じながら新年度をスタートしました。一方で、Beyondia Ikebukuroでの生活が初めてというお友だちもいます。最初は緊張した様子も見られましたが、今では少しずつ新しい環境に慣れ、安心して過ごせるようになってきています。
Learning routines and expectations is an important part of early childhood education. Through everyday experiences such as circle time, lining up, cleaning up, eating lunch together, and transitioning between activities, children develop independence, responsibility, and a sense of security. As the routines become more familiar, the children are able to participate more confidently in both learning and play.
毎日のルーティンやルールを学ぶことは、幼児期においてとても大切な学びです。サークルタイム、整列、お片付け、みんなでの食事、活動の切り替えなどを通して、子どもたちは自立心や責任感、安心感を育んでいます。流れに慣れてくることで、学びや遊びにもより自信を持って参加できるようになっています。
Our teachers continue to support the children as they practice these important skills. Whether it is learning to wait for a turn, use kind words with friends, or try tasks independently, these everyday moments help build strong social and emotional foundations.
先生たちは、子どもたちがこうした大切なスキルを身につけられるよう日々サポートしています。順番を待つこと、友だちに優しく声をかけること、自分で挑戦してみることなど、毎日の小さな経験が社会性や感情面の成長につながっています。
As part of the IB PYP approach, we value creating a caring and supportive classroom community where every child feels welcomed and respected. Over this first month, the children have already begun learning how to work together as a group, support one another, and grow into confident learners.
IB PYPの考え方のもと、私たちは一人ひとりが安心して過ごせる、思いやりのあるクラスコミュニティを大切にしています。この1か月を通して、子どもたちは少しずつ集団の中で協力することや、お互いを支え合うこと、自信を持って行動することを学び始めています。
We are so proud of all the effort our K1 students have shown during their first month, and we look forward to seeing how much more they will grow throughout the year!
