Recently, our K1 children enjoyed creating their own colourful popsicle stick artworks. Using a variety of materials, including transparent coloured paper, tissue paper, crayons, and glue, the children designed unique popsicles full of bright colours and imaginative patterns.

先日、K1クラスの子どもたちは、アイスキャンディーをテーマにした製作活動を楽しみました。カラーセロファンやお花紙、クレヨン、のりなどさまざまな素材を使い、一人ひとりが個性あふれるカラフルなアイスキャンディーを作りました。

The children carefully selected colours and materials, making their own creative choices as they worked. Some layered colourful transparent paper to create vibrant patterns, while others explored texture by scrunching tissue paper and arranging it in different ways. Each artwork reflected the child’s individual ideas and imagination.

子どもたちは、自分で好きな色や素材を選びながら製作に取り組みました。カラーセロファンを重ねて鮮やかな模様を作る子や、お花紙を丸めて立体的な表現を楽しむ子など、それぞれの作品に個性と創造力があふれていました。

Activities like this help develop fine motor skills as children practise squeezing glue bottles, placing small pieces carefully, and manipulating different materials with their hands. At the same time, they are building confidence by making decisions independently and expressing their own ideas through art.

このような活動は、のりを使ったり、小さな素材を丁寧に貼ったりすることで、手先の巧緻性を育む機会にもなります。また、自分で考えて選び、表現することで、自信や自己表現力を育てることにもつながっています。

One of the highlights was seeing the children’s proud smiles as they held up their finished creations. Their excitement in sharing their work with friends and teachers showed just how much joy they found in the creative process.

完成した作品を手にした子どもたちの誇らしげな笑顔もとても印象的でした。友だちや先生に見せながら嬉しそうにする姿から、製作する楽しさや達成感が伝わってきました。
