One of the most special things about kindergarten is watching friendships grow. While academic learning is important, some of the most meaningful learning happens through everyday interactions with friends. Whether children are building together, sharing stories, solving problems, or simply laughing side by side, these moments help shape who they are becoming.

幼稚園生活の中で見られる素敵な成長の一つが、友情の広がりです。学びというと勉強を思い浮かべることが多いですが、子どもたちは日々の友だちとの関わりの中でもたくさんのことを学んでいます。一緒に遊んだり、本を読んだり、困ったことを解決したり、ただ隣で笑い合ったりする時間が、子どもたちの成長を支えています。

Recently, we have been delighted to see many examples of kindness, cooperation, and friendship throughout our kindergarten classrooms. Children have been sharing toys, inviting others to join their games, reading together, and showing genuine care for one another. These simple acts help create a warm and welcoming community where every child feels valued and included.

最近、園内では思いやりや協力、友情が感じられる場面をたくさん見ることができました。おもちゃを貸し合ったり、「一緒に遊ぼう」と声をかけたり、本を一緒に読んだりと、子どもたちは自然な形で友だちを大切にする気持ちを育んでいます。このような小さな行動の積み重ねが、誰もが安心して過ごせる温かいコミュニティをつくっています。

Through friendships, children learn valuable social skills such as communication, empathy, cooperation, and conflict resolution. They begin to understand different perspectives, practise listening to others, and discover how their actions can affect the people around them.

友だちとの関わりを通して、子どもたちはコミュニケーション力や共感する力、協力する力、そして問題解決力を身につけていきます。相手の気持ちを考えたり、人の話に耳を傾けたり、自分の行動が周りにどのような影響を与えるのかを少しずつ学んでいます。

As we watch these friendships continue to grow, we are reminded that some of the biggest lessons in early childhood come from the smallest moments—a shared smile, a helping hand, a favourite book read together, or a hug between friends.

子どもたちの友情が育っていく姿を見ていると、幼児期の大切な学びは、日常の何気ない瞬間の中にあることを改めて感じます。一緒に笑ったり、助け合ったり、お気に入りの本を読んだり、友だちと抱き合ったりする、その一つひとつの経験が大きな成長につながっています。
